We started our dream of opening Calico June 1994. Found the perfect location in the beautiful Historic Village of Rhinebeck with 2 full his and hers kitchens. After 23+ years our Boutique Restaurant and Pastry Shop still brings us great joy. Personally, I think the secret to our happy marriage is separate kitchens!
Tony graduated the Culinary Institute of America in 1981. He then continued his training by working in restaurants in New York City and Country Clubs in Westchester County. He has been thrilled to be invited 7 times to the acclaimed James Beard Foundation to prepare dinner.
Leslie apprenticed with a Master French Pastry Chef and continued crafting scratch made pastries ever since.
